Spanish electronic punk rock band formed in Mallorca, Balearic Islands in the year 1998. Since then, the expectation created by NeoTokyo, so much with its actions live as with its two first works, has given a lot to speak and are one of the most important references of the present underground music in Spain. Its industrial roots, melted with Japanese esthetics, ultramodern and at the same time traditional, its nature of multidisciplinary group, their love for Devo and Kraftwerk, drum n bass, dub... all has contributed that NeoTokyo opened the gap of a new conception in electronics that up till then, had not been seen in Mallorca. They realeased their new double album The Wheel Of The Future, Part I and II on November 2007 and giving it for free, in their web site www.neotokyo.es or in this page on lastFm, since then. Music for nonexistent soundtracks, that would be able to compare with what are doing bands as Mouse On Mars or Death in Vegas, although with an instrumental and minimalistic, punk-rock concept.
