NeoFolk creates exciting, pulsing music rich in emotions, focused around cellist Judit Bonyar's songs with a special atmosphere. Csángó (Hungarian-speaking native of Moldavia) folk song arrangements, Edit Piaf chansons, tango, improvisational jazz compositions -- and even rock elements -- are all invoked in these songs recalling the musical traditions of the Carpathian Basin, the Balkan, other times of the Middle East. This music is the result of a spiritual process, in which the new song is born as an organic whole, so to say as a 'folk song', sometimes with lyrics, with deeper emotional content. The strong drive comes from a variety of folk music cultures and from the band's spiritual affection which is based on the love of diversity. The songs and the words create a complete whole with the instrumented musical environment -- Latin (bossa nova), tango, jazz and rock elements. Their redefinition of traditional music, instruments (acoustic guitars, mandolin, special Arabic percussion and digital effects on the cello) as well as their delicate and virtuosic playing and Judit's outstanding vocal qualities create a modern, unique Eastern European sound.
