Metin Kahraman and Kemal Kahraman are two brothers, living Germany and Turkiye, who are composing music in Zazaki, Kurmanci and Turkish. They are ex-members of Grup Yorum. In their homeland they are seeking for archaic music, fairy tales, myths and praerys of the Kurdish-Zazaish folk culture. They operate as music ethnologists but also as songwriters and musicians. Their music can be classified into traditional, authentical music on the one side and on the other side into an own form of folk, where they use western instruments and harmony instead of following the classical approach towards folk songs of the Kurdish/Zazaish motherland.
