Born in Spain this beautiful girl came to Mexico when she was 15 years old. Her ultimate dream was to sing so she enrolled in the school choir. Possessing a unique voice, her break came in 1962 when she recorded “El Gran Tomas” which launched her popularity in Mexico, forming, together with Maria Angelica, balladeers of the so-called New Wave.
