There are at least two artists with the name Maxx 1. A German eurodance act (active from 1993 to 1995) 2. A techno DJ and producer from UK (active from 1996 to present) 3. Czech producer (active from 2013 to present) 1. MAXX (1993-1995) was a German eurodance-act, produced by David Brunner a.k.a. the hitman and the producer-team "The Movement", consisting of Jürgen Wind a.k.a. George Torpey, Frank Hassas a.k.a. Dakota O'Neill & Olaf Jeglitza a.k.a. O-Jay. The initial vocalists of MAXX were rapper Boris Köhler a.k.a. Gary Bokoe & singer Eliz Yavuz a.k.a. Alice Montana, although Yavuz was only lipsyncing the vocals which belonged to singer Samira Besic. Yavuz left MAXX after their first single "Get-a-Way" and was replaced with singer Linda Meek. The success of Maxx ended with the end of the Eurodance wave. DJ/producer MAXX, originally from Italy, is the owner and creator of Polymeric Records. He is well known at London Techno parties for his broad taste in Techno from clubby to acid, to a more hard, raw edged sound, with rolling bass lines. After releasing the successfull "The Space EP" on the label Drohm (Flying Records) in 1996 with the pseudonym SKY BOY, he had a long break from producing, until 2005, when he changed completely genre and embraced techno, releasing his first track "Hackney" on Open Source label. His own label Polymeric launched in 2006 and has had 8 very successful releases so far. He has been a regular gigging artist, playing at clubs in UK, France, Spain, Austria, Croatia, Poland and Italy, alongside DJ's like Marco Lenzi, Chris Liberator, Boy George, 3Phazegenerator, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Sven Wittekind, Ignition Technician, Pounding Grooves, Boris S and DDR to name a few. MAXX has been resident DJ for Koncrete, Tekslaves, On-Set parties in London, and he is currently resident of Techno Sessions, always in London. He played at many of the best techno venues in the city, like The Fridge, The Mass, Brixton Jamm, The Rhythm Factory, Club 414, Music Bar and Club Babalou.
