The 1st thing you'll notice about Maryanna is sarcastic, witty lyrics and creative songwriting that combines catchy melodies with technical prowess. The 2nd is that the multi-instrumentalist defies comparison. Her style pushes genre lines from pop to anti-folk to rock and remains uniquely her own. Maryanna is recently uprooted from Texas and has quickly made a name for herself in New York City's indie scene. Her debut album, “Landfill,” was produced by Andrew Futral (The Age of Rockets, MC Chris) and mixed/mastered by Dan Romer (Ingrid Michaelson, Jenny Owen Youngs). It was officially released in May of 2010, and is now available to the greatest expanses of the internet universe. Read more on Last.fm.
