Marcus Schössow

The youngest legend in the business, South Swedish-born redhead Marcus Schössow was a pioneer in mixing house with trance and thus creating the dominating sound in EDM today (sadly). Since then he has continued to develop his act and has single handedly created something that all producers thrive for – a distinguished and recognizable, unique sound. A professional DJ since his teens Marcus has had a strong career for the last ten years including highlights like his legendary beef with Deadmau5, teaching Tiësto to drink Jägermeister shots and hosting his own radio show on Sirius/XM. Marcus own label Tone Diary Recordings gets equal support from the heavy hitters in both the house and the trance scenes. His productions are a must in both Armin Van Buuren and Swedish House Mafia’s sets - a position that makes Marcus unique. In the usually stiff and humorless dance world Marcus has always been a welcome ginger whirlwind with his tongue in cheek attitude combined with razor sharp productions. 2013 is set to be Marcus biggest year ever. Liceu, his collaboration with fellow Swede Sebjak, is already one of this spring’s most talked about releases and frequently played by Steve Angello who will release it on his label Size. And during 2013 Marcus will continue to release both dance bangers and commercial vocal tracks on major labels. Kemi, another collabo with Sebjak will be out on Spinnin Records in June, Wildchild, made together with Adrian Lux, will be released on Ultra Records during the summer and Reverie is out this fall on Axwell’s Axtone together with heavy remixes. 2013 also sees Marcus joining forces with Swedish management La Vida Locash (Adrian Lux) who will help him take a big step towards taking his rightful place as one of the leading EDM acts in the world today. And becoming the most famous ginger ever! Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
