Lukas Alexander Lundén, known as Luke Lund is a Finnish self-taught multi-instrumentalist, producer, remixer and the head of Terranean Recordings and Birthdeath situated in Turku, Finland. He was born in 1992 and grew up having fascination towards film and videogame soundtracks where he found music like Photek, The Orb, Clint Mansell, Aphex Twin, Autechre and The Future Sound of London. He started experimenting with audio manipulation in spring 2008 - upon discovering the works of Justin Broadrick - which was a great influence and the gateway to permanent interest in industrial, noise, dub and experimental music in general. In mid-2010 he started recording beat-based music, and established the digital label Terranean for releasing his material, with Bartosz Szturgiewicz (Wounds) as the co-manager. Since March 2012, the genre-specific aliases were dropped and the stage name Luke Lund is used for all spontaneous experiments and improvisations on Terranean. A second label, Birthdeath, was launched in early 2015 and focuses on releasing written and more thought-out work under a different project name, under physical formats. His previous aliases are Crat¤s, Light Overhead, Nostromo 180286, Kontrol Deprivator, The Maunsell Signal, Bentso, Lataus, Life Penalty and Shokushu. Groups include Ropes of Maui, S/N Measures and Threshold Ensemble. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
