Late In The Playoffs

Proving that the deep seeded pop-punk roots in the midwest are still rich in talent, Chicago's own Late In The Playoffs have just self-released their new record, Alive and On Your Own. Recorded at Maximum Sound Studio in Boston, MA, with producer Gary Cioffi (Transit, Misser), this is the band’s debut full-length, and a true testament to their combination of melodic pop and heavily rhythmic influenced sound. The release is a ten-track journey of love, loss, and finding yourself, balanced through the vocal stylings of singers Aaron Goldschmidt and Conor Page, creating a sound inspired in the vein of Motion City Soundtrack and The Starting Line. Coming together from the ashes of previous projects, Late In The Playoffs officially formed in 2010 and promptly released a five-track EP, Everything I Know, which garnered the band immediate attention and praise. Following the release of this EP, the band went on to play numerous shows throughout the country, including dates with everyone from Hit The Lights and The Summer Set to Hostage Calm and Such Gold. Having previously self-released two EPs, Late in the Playoffs are thrilled to finally have a full-length to showcase on the road. "Musically, I think we found what we want. We have a solid group of guys that write great songs. With this release, we’re giving people a little more of what we can do, but we’re not satisfied, and are ready for the next challenge" says Goldschmidt. Alive and On Your Own is only the beginning for the four-piece, as the band plans to spend a great deal of 2013 touring in support of the record, and introducing these songs to fans and new listeners alike.
