Download/Stream/Buy/Tour Dates: http://www.lafontband.com LA Font (pronounced like "elephant") is an indie rock band from the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. Danny Bobbe leads the band, which also includes Jon Perry (guitar), Greg Katz (bass) and Harlow Rodriguez (drums). The quartet is often compared to Pavement for Bobbe's sincere but barbed lyrics and the band's scrappy garage rock arrangements. Bobbe's charismatic, sneering live performance persona has also earned the band recognition, with the L.A. Times writing that he is "a frontman worth the cost of admission alone." The band's first album "The American Leagues," featuring the single "Fine Lines," was self-released in October 2010. The 7" single "Sharks" followed in July 2011 on independent label Sister City Records. Bobbe has said in interviews that the name "LA Font" refers to a distinct typeface that the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power uses on its field offices. Read more on Last.fm.
