Kingston Kitchen 809 was founded in the summer of 2004 by seven versed and versatile instrumentalists and performers with a burning passion for the Caribbean sounds. Singer, trombonist and entertainer Dr. Ring-Ding a.k.a. Richie Senior Jung has been an indispensable part of the international Ska- and Reggae scenes since the eighties. Together with the Rotterdam Ska-Jazz Foundation, Holland's groove experts for sophisticated off-beats, he forms a top class line-up ready to prepare your favorite specials of Ska and Rock-Steady. On the menu you will find, among others, musical treasures of Prince Buster, Lord Tanamo, The Skatalites, a couple of extraordinary versions of Jazz, Pop and Rock songs from Elvis Presley, AC/DC, and Michel Legrand, as well as new and old original compositions. Kingston Kitchen's debut album "Today's Special" will be released in Europe and the US on Megalith Records early 2007.
