Karma’s performance experience transcends the recording booth and includes success in theater productions such as the musicals Shakin’ The Mess Outta Misery, in which she was nomitated for a B. Iden Payne Award, Trippin To Nowhere, and the improv production of Tabula Rasa. Also, Karma’s role in the musical Ain’t Misbehavin’, performed at Austin’s State Theater, received rave reviews in the Austin-American Statesman. The following year, a Karma-led Monster Big Band was voted second-best Live Jazz Band in the Austin Chronicle Reader’s Poll. Upon moving to Los Angeles, Karma Stewart’s manifestation continued.
