He recently received an Emmy nomination for his score for the ABC miniseries Path to 9/11 (with Harvey Keitel) and his film credits include the Oscar nominated music score for A Touch of Class (with Glenda Jackson and George Segal) and the scores for over 40 feature and TV films. Others include the British classic Kes, The Ruling Class, Black Beauty, The Mirror Crack'd, To End All Wars, the mini-series Jack the Ripper (Michael Caine) and ABC's Little House on the Prairie. John created the orchestral score for every version of Les Misérables from the original Robert Hossein production in 1980 through the RSC Broadway, tour and concert versions. He won the New York Drama Desk Award for Les Mis in 1986 and the National Broadway Theatre Award in 2002. John's orchestrations are featured in the current hit version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Other shows he has arranged/supervised include Honk!
