Jermaine Edwards born to Bishop Janet and Rowan Edwards of the Light House Assembly was a typical pastor's kid, good and when gotten the opportunity to get bad went all out. Started playing music at age nine, became a music minister teaching choirs and later became a part time teacher at a preparatory school. He resigned from teaching after realizing there was a calling on his life in entreating people to God through his music. He decided to go full time in music as a recording artist where he did his first cd, Island Worship. It was a success being in the top 3 selling gospel cd's in Jamaica. As an independent artist It was one of the most played local gospel album,. This cd brought him to nine states in America, Turks and Caucos, booked a show for The Cayman Islands and England. He now has a second album, A Closer Walk Island Worship 2 which speaks to all age groups pointing them to God. The incredible rise of his career shows the love that people have for his music and now becoming a sought after minister helping youths focus in there every day walk with God. Edwards says a grammy would be nice or some other award but what would be more important would be the ability to go into a school every morning and do devotion with good a sound system proclaiming Gods name so that His name would be lifted on high and youths would be drawn to Him. When that happens his task on earth would be accomplished. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
