Jason Rebello

Jason Rebello is a British jazz pianist.He was born in 1969. He has been playing piano since his 9th birthday. Whan he was sixteen he heard Herbie Hancock for the first time and started learning jazz. He was awarded with The Perrier British Jazz Awards and Pat Smyth's Award. He is known for his work with Wayne Shorter, Art Blakey, James Moody, Gary Burton, Branford Marsalis, Jeff Beck, Chaka Khan or Des'ree. Rebello was asked by Sting to replace Kenny Kirkland after Kirkland's sudden death in 1998. He recorded Brand New Day, ...All This Time and Sacred Love CD and also Inside The Songs Of Sacred Love DVD with Sting. Since 2006 Rebello is a part of Jeff Beck's band. He also appeared on Jeff Beck's records "Performing this week...:Live at Ronnie Scott's" (2006) and "Emotion & Commotion" (2010). Rebello has just ended 2011 European Tour with Jeff Beck and is going to appear in Canada October this year. Read more on Last.fm.
