The man behind the name Ichisan is Igor Skafar, one of the most prominent Slovenian photographers who started his relationship with music playing guitar in various bands. He is still an active member of project called Sunday Sessions, which is a very unique sounding Retro-Futuristic-Space-Funk band. He has later developed a taste and preference for electronical sounds, which he blended with a very organic feel and started producing his projects in 2001, which was followed by his first release in 2002 on Slovenian electronic compilation Chilli Space. He is also producing music with another Slovenian producer and dj Ule Nakova, under the name Ichisan&Nakova. They have released a digital single Filter 57 in 2007 at DogMusic recordings and are waiting for the release of Povratak Otpisanih at Pizzico records in May 2008. The duo has also contributed mix for 2-4hour.blogspot.com called “Pionir mix”. Otherwise Ichisan has awaited his first solo 12’’ release at London’s Airthight Recordings in March 2008. “Global Pillage and Tips & Tricks” is already very positively accepted and has received many favorable reviews, including a four star review from iDj magazine and praises from great names of the music industry such as Bjorn Torske, Umek and Valentino Kanzyani. Ichisan’s “Multipraktik mix” was included on 2-4hour.blogspot.com mixes. He has also contributed a track “Radar pulse is sent” for the Eskimo recordings compilation which is due to be released later this year.
