An Algerian musician and interpreter with a clear and sweet voice, Houari Benchenet is the most discrete raï singer. In 1980, he formed the new generation of electric raï with Khaled, Mami, Sahraoui and Fadéla, and collected hits. However, due to his shyness and discretion, he stayed in the background of the movement. He still distinguishes himself by being the initiator of "raï love" which Cheb Hasni has managed to turn into a true genre. Read more on Last.fm.
