Hot Magenta formed in October 2006 and originate from the University of Warwick, a campus that has produced such fine bands as Replica X, Honeytrap and The Carter Manoeuvre. This band seeks to continue that trend with their tried and tested brand of classic influenced hard rock. Taking influences from AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin and everything good about rock, this band seek to recapture the hair flinging, fist pumping, leather clad days of music when songs were written for stadium-sized sing-a-longs without pretention and ego. Fronted by excellent blues and soul vocalist Alyssa Davisson they stand out not just for their straight up, no-nonsense riffs, but for their huge vocals which nestle half-way between Skin and Aretha Franklin. They recorded their first EP "In Your FACE!" in June 2007 and followed it up with 2010's Long Time Coming.
