Homerun are: Matt Albarelli - Vocals Andy Ringoli - Guitars Simone Almasio - Guitars Walt Borrelli - Hammond & Keys Valentino Bello - Bass "Ul Giurgin" Annoni - Drums The band was first put together in year 2000, under the name 'Dead poets', and during the first year we focused on covers of various hard rock bands. Soon enough, however, we felt the urge to write and play our own music: we started working on our first demo 'Some1', released in 2003, and chanded the band name to Homerun. The name choice is both a tribute to the famous LP by Gotthard, and a good description of our sound, that in our ideas had to be tight, fast and tough as a home run hit. During these months we played our songs along with covers in various gigs around Milan and Varese, with a great appreciation from the public. Glad of that, we started working on a EP/demo with lyrics both in Italian and in English, Start Again, released in April 2005. Start Again earned some outstanding reviews on magazines and webzines, and we decided to leave gigs behind for a while, to have more time and concentration to work in the studio and self-produce a real debut album. We wrote songs, set up our own recording studio, took care of every detail down to website and album artwork, and while some members of the band parted ways, longing for live playing, some new friends, with new ideas and great experience, joined us, until today. The lineup, then, is this: Matt (voice), Andy (guitars), Simone (guitars), Vale (basses), Walt (hammond and keys), Ul Giurgìn (drums). Time passed quick, and in 2007 we had written and self-produced Don't Stop (thanks to Matt's outstanding skills in recording and mixing). We had in our hands a real album, and it was 100% our own sound, our own ideas, our own lives. Feeling confident in our product, we finally met Frank Caruso, axeman from Arachnes, and Stefano 'Sebo' Xotta, who decided to believe in our project and help us. Frank presented us to italian largest indipendent distribution, SELF Distribuzione, and in December 2007 we finally signed our first discographic contract... Don't Stop, then, is ready to hit the shelves on April 24, 2008 to be our real debut album. Read more on Last.fm.
