Groove Logic

Adam Vinsant (aka Groove Logic) is a long time DJ/producer who has been a major part of the Birmingham electronic music scene for over 13 years and has played a part in the national scene as well. Coming from a family with a musical background, Logic picked up the ear for good music at an early age. He started playing guitar at age 13 and also learned bass guitar at 14. Influenced early on in the rock and industrial scene, his influences include Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Metallica, Primus, Pink Floyd and many more. In 1996 he began the journey into technical sound study and started assisting with sound and lights in local churches and large venues across the Southeast. He has worked sound boards for bands such as Korn, Staind, Kiss, Skid Row, Creed, and many more. In the church setting he assisted in bands like DC Talk and Toby Mac as well as the Newsboys. He has also assisted in the recording of many local church choirs and bands. In 1998, Adam Vinsant found the world of electronic music and became Groove Logic. Because of his early love for rock and industrial, he became infatuated with drum and bass and it was game on from there. Influenced by the sounds of great producers such as Logistics, Grooverider, LTJ Bukem, John B, and Pendulum; Groove Logic blends the raw sounds of drum and bass and jungle with the beautiful classic melodies that make the dance floor come alive. Groove Logic is the mastermind behind Pure Logic Recordings (www.purelogicrecordings.com), an independent label for independent artists. With his newest album, “Logical Thinking EP” and is already in the works on another album, Groove Logic is staring down the barrel of an innovative new sound that will open new doors in electronic music and open the minds of his listeners all over the world, taking them on the trip of their lives.
