Ever since I was a little girl, I sang. I LOVED to sing. I would get up on the fireplace at my grandparents' house and pretend it was my stage. I would always watch the Wizard of Oz, and sing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." I'm from a small town called Virden, in Illinois. There's about 3,500 people where I'm from, and everyone knows everyone. I've always wanted to move away and do something with my life, because it seems most people from here just stay around here, and I've never wanted that! People always encouraged me to sing publicly, and around the age of 10, I entered my first talent show, placing 4th. I continued to enter county talent shows in my area, and the state fair's talent show, placing first in the junior divisions and senior divisions, until I couldn't compete anymore. I auditioned for The Voice at the open call in Chicago in 2011 for season 2. Unfortunately, I didn't make it, but that didn't deter me from auditioning again for Season 3! This year, I made it all the way to the knockout rounds on Team Blake! I've also opened for Luke Bryan and Daryle Singletary! Thank you all so much for the kind words and love; you guys have been AMAZING to me through this WHOLE process. God does everything for a reason, and if this is all meant to be, it's going to find its way no matter what! Follow me on Twitter, Facebook and my blog.
