Grace grew up in London where she was born in 1977. She gained her BMus and postgraduate degrees at the Royal Academy of Music where she studied with Beatrice Unsworth and Jonathan Papp. Whilst at The Academy she won the Early Music Prize and was a finalist in the London Handel Festival. Having been greatly in demand as a consort singer with all the UK’s leading ensembles, including The English Concert,The Gabrieli Consort, The Monteverdi Choir, Ex Cathedra, Alamire, The Tallis Scholars, i Fagiolini, Tenebrae, The BBC Singers and ensemble plus ultra, Grace is now becoming a popular soloist, specialising in the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Grace is a Regular member of the Sixteen/Harry Christophers, and has recorded Handel’s Dixit Dominus for Harry Christophers on his Coro label. She has appeared in both television series of Sacred Music, most recently singing the Pie Jesu from Faure's Requiem. She has recorded Bach’s Matthew Passion for Ex Cathedra. Allegri’s Miserere for both The Sixteen on the Universal label and for Tenebrae on Signum Records, singing the high soprano part. She appears regularly with the saxophonist Christian Forshaw and features on his albums Renouncement and Midwinter. Grace is also the soprano soloist on Eric Whitacre's new album for Decca records, due for release in October 2010 (www.ericwhitacre.com) Her recent and future engagements include: The release of a live recording of Monteverdi's 1610 Vespers with The Orchestra Of The Age Of Enlightenment, more recording projects with The Sixteen, the Cambridge singers, Eric Whitacre and I Fagiolini. Performance highlights include Lute recital’s in Hanover Germany with Dai Miller, Dowland and Monteverdi programmes in the Spitalfields festival London with The Sixteen, Monteverdi Vespers 1610 with Ex Cathedra in London Birmingham Warwick and Leicester, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio at Birmingham Town Hall also with Ex Cathedra and Handel’s Messiah for Harry Christopher’s in Chateau De Versailles Paris. Grace will also be recording a solo album on the Coro label next year, to include Neun Deutsche Arien by Handel and the recently discovered Handel Gloria. In 2012 Grace will sing Bach's Matthew Passion with Colleguim Vocale directed by Philippe Herreweghe. Read more on Last.fm.
