GPKISM (2007-2011) was the music project of vocalist Gothique Prince Ken (GPK, ex-Flood of Rain) from Australia. Kiwamu (from BLOOD) joined in 2008. Created in 2007 by GPK he attracted the attention of Kiwamu who contacted him on Myspace and signed him to his label Darkest Labyrinth. They toured the US, Japan, Mexico, South America and Australia. Their work revolved around religious themes and love but the project gradually focused on the concept of Countess Elizabeth Bathory. GPKISM is the manifestation of baroque essence fused with electro/industrial sound, creating a unique world both decadent and sublime. Beginning in January 2007, GPKISM was originally the solo project of GPK. During this indie period he released one song on a European Compilation album & set up a myspace page. Kiwamu of BLOOD contacted him through Myspace and signed him to his label, Darkest Labyrinth. He released his debut mini-album "Sublimis" in Summer 2007 which had 400 copies pressed and sold out through Internet orders alone. In Autumn 2007 Kiwamu joined GPKISM. In January 2008 they re-released Sublimis for a second time with 3 new tracks and limited to 666 copies (which is sold out as of February 2009). In April Ryonai (Blam Honey) joined them as a live member when he performed with them as guest at Alamode Night 31 feat. Darkest Labyrinth and GPK provided a remix for BLOOD's "The Reaper behind me" album. GPKISM embarked on their first tour with BLOOD [Darkest Labyrinth vol.8] in Australia and the duo released their first maxi-single "Illuminatum" in September limited to 666 copies, which sold out after 4 months. They then embarked on a one-man tour "Lament of the Fallen Star" which took them to Japan, South America and US where they performed at Nekocon for the first time. After touring in the US with BLOOD and DJ SiSeN for the La Fin De La Journee" in January and February they released their first full-length album "Atheos" in March. They also recently toured Australia again with Aural Vampire and DJ SiSeN. GPKISM will be touring for the first time in Europe in May of 2009(?) for their "Holy Blood" tour followed by 3 dates in South America in September. The band has also toured in Australia and the U.S. In 2011, guitarist Kiwamu announced that he would be reviving his former band, BLOOD. On several occasions he has publicly expressed his disapproval of GPK's work habits and felt that he isn't as diligent in producing music as he once was. This set-back, along with drama caused over an unflattering MySpace picture, caused Kiwamu to announce his secession from the band over Facebook. After this, GPK decided to continue his work as a solo artist as just Gothique Prince Ken.
