***FEB 2016:*** GIGANTIC BRAIN'S NEW SELF TITLED ALBUM IS COMING OUT FEBRUARY 26 2016 Pre-order Is up with a remake of "He Became The Machine" as a pre-order bonus Gigantic Brain is an American duo which began as a one-man Drum-Machine Powered electronic and grindcore project created by John Brown of Virginia in the early 2000s. It is very different from the majority of cybergrind bands. Gigantic Brain bring a very heavy sound sound to the table, often inspired by science fiction and futuristic concepts. In 2012, after a 2 year hiatus from the project, Gigantic Brain became a duo with the addition of producer and multi-instrumentalist Mastin Simmons. As a duo they have begun further experimenting with industrial-metal and post-metal while retaining the roots of the project. Not until 2004 did they gain major attention in the grind scene when the Massive 63 Track "The Invasion Discography" was released on Razorback Records, cataloguing all its material up until that point. Two albums and one EP were released in 2009 (World, Betelgeuse EP, I Swallow 16 Red Planets), consisting of a different sound with ambient and minimalist influences yet still powerful with its grindcore roots. In 2010 the album 'They Did This to Me' was released. In 2012 after a 2 year hiatus from the project the announcement of a new Gigantic Brain album was made. The album is to be recorded by duo form of the band featuring John and musician/producer Mastin Simmons. The album was originally stated to be released sometime in 2013. Gigantic Brain announced that the album's sound is to feature a "heavily updated" version of their production values and style. After a 3 year period in which 4 songs were teased in singles, the duo's self-titled album will finally be released on February 26, 2016 At one time all of the Gigantic Brain releases were available for free download on his website.
