Gary DeMichele, Is a songwriter and composer and arranger of music. He has written many songs including lyrics, though most of his most visible work has been through the exposure he has gotten from his scores for film. He is a musician also, of course and plays drums,piano,vibes and some guitar. He is a vocalist as well. His musical styles vary from pop/rock to jazz to more stylized pieces incorporating tango,ECM style jazz,orchestral and quasi-orchestral sonorities. Film, it seems, is a great arena for people who write with heart and substance in different styles, as, it seems, that that kind of 'chameleonic' vacillation of styles is not looked upon very favorably in the pop market.
