Galalisa was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing only one pound eleven ounces. Those tending her needs credited her survival to the music they continuously played for her. This wondrous personal experience motivated her to devote much of her energy to the exploration and acceptance of the power of healing through music. Galali (as she is often called) has journeyed the world unravelling some of the mysteries of sound and has created a program called “Sound Yoga-Sound Meditation”. She sings and chants into a Turkish A-frame hand drum using a spell-binding range of tones and overtones, providing a soothing mystical lullaby for the soul. Galali’s gift has graced temples in India, the Pyramids of Egypt--including the Pyramid of Giza in Cairo--the Railway performance Center in New Mexico, numerous Basilicas across Canada, and many other sites throughout Canada and the United States.
