Finding Windemere

The story begins in the small mid-western community of Germantown, Ohio, a town about 20 miles south of Dayton where far more farmers and football players are produced than rock stars. Drummer, Joey Jackson and guitarist, Brady Lockard have been friends since elementary school while the rest of the band pieced together in high school. Several member changes and band names later, Finding Windemere came into its own. In February of 2005 Finding Windemere made their presence felt with the release of their first self-titled EP. The EP got them into the local spotlight and paved the way for them to hit the road on their first national tour in the summer of 2005. Touring, they made friends and fans out of many, while also refining their explosive live performance. Through all of the hype, Finding Windemere found themselves signing to a small record label (Standby Records) by the end of the year. Finding Windemere's success through touring gave them a reason to follow up their self-titled EP with a CD that has been long anticipated by many. On July 24th 2006, they released their second CD, My Getaway on Standby Records. Throughout the CD, Finding Windemere sings songs full of sweet melody and catchy choruses that evoke dancing and singing even from the most jaded listeners. Finding Windemere is taking the phrase pop-rock to a whole new level of beauty and excellence. On January 27th 2007, Finding Windemere had their farewell show and are now broken up.
