Fait Accompli crash landed onto the Sydney music scene in October 2006. At the time Emo was now Scremo and Indie kids were swapping their knits for Neon, not very much punk attitude in sight. The under the radar music community was in a pretty average state. They arrived fierce and hungry for some action. And not too long after a reaction is what they got. Fait Accompli smashed shows, their gear and their livers with a straight forward Progressive Indie Jam Punk Rock Monster of a sound that would eventually inspire and help propel many a band from out of the darkness and onto what is now the very solid sound of the Sydney Underground. Not fighting for a Next big thing tag Fait Accompli manned their fort with a heads down tails up work ethic. Instead of looking for a short term goal in the shape of a record deal, Fait Accompli opted to search for a better direction for their sound as their important long term goal. So they played around 100 shows in their first year. Fait Accompli are a punk rock brotherhood who care deeply about their friends and their music.
