Sharing a common vision of raw, untamed and wild rockabilly with influences from punk, country, psycho and hillbilly, blues and other American roots music, the two brothers (if it ain't family, it ain't cuntry) Martin and Bob started Eyeballin’ Torpedoes in 2004. They were both getting out of of old, tired bands. At first it was just about tearing some shit up. Soon they realized the beat and the swing was just too cool to be wasted away. Alex joined up and shortly after they recorded the 4-track cd "In Stereo where available" in a backroom of the local bar, using whatever crappy equipment & abusing whatever shitty booze available. The sound quality wasn’t at all! But still the record came to be quite a success. The title song "Devil on my trail" was picked out to represent Sweden on Empire Records huge compilation album featuring contemporary rockabilly-bands from all across Europe. And the tune "Drown myself in Sorrow" was favoured by many a heartbroken man from around the world to get liquored up by. The songs got some airtime as well as being used as a jingle on a Canadian psychobilly station and featured as soundtrack in custom-car show movies. In the beginning of 2006 Alex left the band. And it didn't take very long before a line of new drummers begged to join in. Ante was thee perfect member for Eyeballin’ Torpedoes! He had a lifelong and genuine love for rockabilly and country music and has also played in quite a few garage and punk-bands. Now the band has been playin’ in clubs, festivals and also made TV-appearances. Eyeballin’ Torpedoes is really all about three guys havin’ a good ol' time and playin’ the music they love, and it shows! Right now all they do is play live as much, and loud, as possible.
