It all started in the summer of 1992, when a friend of us had this very cool music tracker on the Amiga: Protracker. Not much later Marcel Heijink and Kimo Arends founded 'The Technoravers' and we started producing our own tracks on the Amiga. In January 1993 Taco Arends proved to be good enough and joined our Hardcore Team. After 2 years we changed our name into "DEATHLOK Hardcore Team", since the name "Technoravers" was difficult to associate with hardcore. It was only in the summer of 1996 when we bought a PC and left our Amiga's behind. At first we were using Screamtracker, but half a year later we switched to Impulse Tracker, the follow up of Screamtracker. After years of sending demo-tapes, we finally proved to be good enough for ID&T in july 1998. A dream come true? Martijn Mobron liked our tracks and was sure to release them! After 2 trips to Wormerveer in half a year we still hadn't received the contract papers. After our 3rd trip to Wormerveer (February 1999) we finally got our contract. We had it checked by an agency and guess what, we had waited more than 8 months for a contract that just wasn't right! But ID&T wouldn't change it! No way they were having us sign this 'deadly' contract, so the negotiations were stopped... A big dissappointment at that time.... After sending some demo-tapes to different record companies DJ Paul contacted us in August 1999, because he liked our demo. We still had to wait half a year for the contract, but negotiations worked out fine this time! We signed our contract at Mid-Town for at least 2 records!.. Read more on Last.fm.
