BORN ORAL MARK DURLOO ON THE 9th DAY OF FEBRUARY TO DAVID DURLOO AND MELZETA McINTOSH (Younger sister of reggae legend and superstar PETER TOSH.) OF WESTMORELAND, JAMAICA. EDGE'S PARENTS HAD DREAMS OF HIM BECOMING A FAMOUS DOCTOR OR LAWYER. HOWEVER, AT BIRTH EDGE MICHAEL SHOWED GREAT SIGNS OF MUSIC IN THE VEINS. GROWING UP EDGE EMPHASIZED MORE INTEREST IN MUSIC THAN ANYTHING ELSE. MUSIC WAS INDEED HIS DESTINY. FROM HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMANCES TO PROFESSIONAL RECORDINGS EDGE MICHAEL HAS BEEN LIVING HIS DESTINY. IN THE EARLY 90'S PERFORMING AS LEAD VOCALIST FOR JAH CHILDREN BAND EDGE MICHAEL SHARED STAGE WITH CELEBRATED ACTS DENNIS BROWN, GREGORY ISSAAC AND SANCHEZ JUST TO NAME A FEW. SOON AFTER EDGE MOVED ON TO PERFORMING WITH MEMBERS OF THE S.A.N.E. BAND, HIS PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH S.A.N.E. WAS SHORT BUT HE WAS NOW TRAVELLING TOWARD GREATER PURSUITS. EDGE MICHAEL'S FIRST RECORDING IS THE SELF COMPOSED AND CO-PRODUCED SINGLE ENTITLED TRY MY LOVE ON THE CROWD PLEASER LABEL IN 1994. THE EFFORT RECEIVED MODEST AIR RECOGNITION AND SALES IN EXCESS OF FOUR THOUSAND COPIES. 1995 EDGE JOINED GUMSION BAND PERFORMING LEAD VOCALS; THE BAND WAS OPENING ACT AND BACKING BAND FOR THE CELEBRATED BERES HAMMOND.
