Edgar Prais

Far from being innovative trailblazers; Edgar Prais take a decidedly traditional approach to song writing. Having a melodic disposition that leans toward the timeless sounds of Holland-Dozier-Holland, informed by the yarn spinning qualities affiliated to folk music. Scottish band Edgar Prais have been busy taking their unique brand of jiggy, lyrical pop all around the UK. In between playing their own headline shows at Aberdeen’s Moshulu, Glasgow’s King Tut’s and London’s Islington Bar Academy, the Prais have toured constantly with the likes of The Rifles, The Pipettes, The Noisettes, Good Shoes, Battle, I Was A Cub Scout, The Automatic and Kaiser Chiefs. They also raised the roof with their Club NME appearance at London’s legendary Koko. Hugely popular appearances at T In The Park, Rock Ness, The Great Escape and Belladrum festivals have helped cement their reputation as one of Scotland’s most promising and explosive live acts.
