Donn T is kaleidoscopic. A songwriter and singer, who proudly displays a broad spectrum of styles, that takes you from the scene of the late 70’s and mid 80’s post-disco New York, to the underground clubs of Chicago and Continental Europe. It visits stripped-down London electronic funk influenced sounds, tecky minimal Berlin soul, and soothing melodies that leave you with an appetite for more. And with no fear of showing both dance club aesthetics and pop sensibility, she strives to create sounds that refuse to be outdated. Donn T is the sister of ?uestlove of The Roots. Their father, Lee Andrews sang doo wop and was signed to several major labels, his first at the age of 13. He later went on to play on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. Their mother, Jacqui Thompson, a recording artist, a ballet and tap dancer, trained with The 4 Step Brothers and Charles "Honey" Cole. Music was a constant in the family home. Read more on Last.fm.
