The Deeptone moniker refers to 2 different artists: 1) American based Producer/Remixer Colin C. Allrich. Deeptone was Colin's first alias which broke onto the scene with a massive breakbeat remix of Space Manoeuvres's "Stage One" for Lost Language recordings UK in 2005. From there he went on to re-release part of his "Element EP" on a double sided 12" with Heavy Rotation UK, which was met with praise from DJ's world-wide. The 'Deeptone' sound blended the Progressive House movement with melodic, Trance influenced arrangements, leaving the breakbeat side of him to fester in his new guise 'Slighter'. The last Deeptone release was "Yours To Keep" in late 2006, was also the last release for his DGM label. As of 2008, Colin has abandoned this moniker shifting his focus to newer work. Most all original Deeptone tracks can now be downloaded for free from various sites including Last.FM. 2) A Swedish alt-folk band. Read more on Last.fm.
