Deadly Avenger

Deadly Avenger's album, "Blossoms & Blood", has been released by Villager Music and is a worthy follow up to the cult classic "Deep Red". Featuring huge influences from cinema's finest soundtracks and electro breaks as well as some stunning string arrangements, it is destined to satisfy fans both new and old. Damon Baxter started out releasing records through J Saul Kane's Depth Charge label before setting up the Illicit record label, releasing a string of raw, sample and beat heavy tracks in the mid 1990s. His first album, "Deep Red" took some time to release due to the copyright issues with stand-out track "We Took Pelham" which relies heavily upon "Going The Distance" from the Rocky Soundtrack (eventually re-recorded by Baxter with an Eastern European orchestra). The Album contains many more crafted electronic tracks, extending the very "Depth Charge" - influenced sound of earlier releases.
