Darion Ja'Von Dean born on January 11, 1990, in Livingston, New Jersey is an African American Drummer, producer, singer, Actor and dancer. He is CEO and founder of NuFlow Productions, and is best known for his unique sound as a drummer and production with various local recording artists in the tri-state area. Early Life Born into a family of music, Darion's talent as a musician was discovered at an early age. Picking up drum sticks before the age of 2, was just the beginning of his musical journey. By age 7, his exceptional ability opened the door for him to be the principle drummer at his church. By age 10, he began to play the keyboard and write his own songs. Darion also began to travel and play for his mom at local engagements. By age 12 DJ, as he affectionately known by his friends and family, discovered his passion for production, and at age 13 began to demonstrate his unique vocal ability while recording demo tracks for his first production. During high school, Darion played in the Malcome X Shabazz marching band and drum line. Darion later received a scholarship to Berklee College of music in Boston Massachusetts to further his studies in music production. His parents, Reverend Paul and Sharon Dean were both influential in his life and musical journey. His father, who traveled with his own gospel singing group, encouraged his son to follow God and never stop dreaming. His mother, who is a songwriter, singer and author, always encouraged Darion to make smart choices in life, and never stop trying to achieve his goals. These very words helped mold a young man, of values, and Christian faith with many talents. Producer Darion Ja'Von's production is influenced by many artists and genres of music. The young songwriter is inspired by The Delfonics, Stylistics, Chilites, Comadors, Stevie Wonder, Usher, Luther Vandross, Fred Hammond, Canton Jones, Tye Tribbett, Ryan Leslie and Michael Jackson just to name a few. His goal is to find a way to Fuse his R&B influenced sound, with Gospel music to promote a positive message for young people. Also sings R&B, Pop, Jazz and Rock. He released his first album in August 2008. It featured the smash hits Addicted, No One Like You, Forgive Me, and Heaven. The album received a great response, establishing Darion Ja'Von as an artist focused on incorporating great music with his faith to positively affect and influence his generation. As a student at Berklee, Darion is learning a lot about himself and is continuing to develop his production skills, which has opened the door for him to work along side world renown producers such as Fred Jerkins and the DarkChild family. Discovery: Darion Ja'Von has played drums for Pattie Labelle, Tye Tribett, Donald Lawrence, Stevie Wonder, BeBe Winans, CeCe Winans, Me'shell N'degéocello, Angie Stone, and other local artists along the East Coast . He also has played at the famous Apollo Theater for Hezikiah Walker, Bobby Jones, Mary Mary and many more. A man of many talents is to easy a title for this young man.
