DJ Lhasa aka Maurizio Braccagni is an italian DJ, he started his experience as DJ in 1987 and released his first record in 1989. During his DJ nights he plays techno music, especially from north europe, and this style will influence his future artistic direction deeply. In 1993, under the name of Two Cowboys, he reaches the top of the European Sales Charts with the track titled Everybody Gonfi Gon. Thanks to this hit, Maurizio B. makes himself known as top deejay playing in many clubs in Europe and remixing many dance and pop acts i.e. Whigfield, JK & Berry. In 2001 Maurizio B. produces "Little Girl", a song that breaks not only the Italian dance and sales charts, but also the international charts. In june 2002 the DJ Lhasa project sees the light. The first single is titled Heaven Is a Place On Earth, a cover of the smash hit of Belinda Carlisle that gets very positive results especially in the Asian markets. Pinocchio is the follow up and it has been licensed all over the Europe. But it is Giulia that makes DJ Lhasa really known: it reaches #1 in Italy, Spain, Canada, Austria and, in the next weeks, it will be released all over the Europe. "Giulia" is the most massive hit of the summer 2003, spending fifth consecutive month in the top ten of Italian dance chart. The fourth single Together Forever is a new version originally #1 single for Rick Astley in 1988. In Italy, it picks up a huge radio support which lead to it being one of the biggest dance hits of this winter: top 5 in all dance charts and top 20 in the sales charts; in Austria it is top ten and it will be released in the next weeks in all Europe. Now DJ Lhasa is hugely in demand for gigs, especially in Austria, Spain, Denmark, France and Russia, and remixes ("Pretty Green Eyes", "Feelin' Fine", "Better Than Life" by Ultrabeat and "Lonely" by Deep Spirit). No Controles is the new single for the summer 2004, kicking chart all over Europe and give the push to DJ Lhasa start working on his first release for 2005: the stunning Mysterious Times critically worldwide acclaimed. Times were finally mature for debut album "Teknologia", distributed in Italy, Russia, Japan and Taiwan, and soon in major European countries. The following DJ Lhasa Dancefloor EP is featuring the original sample of "Dance Your Ass Off" by RTZ that has been a successfull track in 90's. Read more on Last.fm.
