In fall 2002, Crash my Deville was formed in the middle of Germanys south western Saarland as a quintet. With about 1 ½ years passed and after recording their first 5-Track demo /Hitting The Wall By Chance / 2003), the band decided due to musical progress that it was about time for some personal changes within the band and a 6th member could be won over. In spring of 2005 the band released a 4-Track split EP (Hell Yeah, It Is A Hollywood Ending) together with the fabulous chummy Parachutes (Lockjaw Rec.). Performing a musical blend settled somewhere in the triangle between modern Screamo, Emo and Metalcore, Crash my Deville uses all tools from bevel to steam hammer to give their songs that certain and distinct shape of filigree sway and powerful catchiness. Multiple shows and thousands of miles on the road later, the band has made their mark to be a stirring and energetic live act, proven by a 2-week tour through Germany, a short trip to Austria, several festival shows and numerous support shows for well-known bands such as Misery Signals, The Hurt Process, Piebald, Since By Man, Bleed The Dream, Tribute To Nothing, The Coalfield and many more. September of 2005 seemed to be the right time to move on, so the band made themselves at home for one month in Siegburgs Gernhart Studios to record their first full-length together with producer Martin Buchwalter. By the end of 2005, german label Redfield Records as a reliable and perfectly fitting signatory together with the powerful distribution company Cargo Records decided to release Crash my Deville´s debut The Consequence Of Setting Yourself On Fire Debut on the 3rd of March, 2006. Since then, playing as many shows as possible is clearly their mayor issue until the end of fall 2006. This is when the guys will start working on new material for their second full length. The band´s harmoniousness and merciless emotional honesty gives no quarter to musical attitudes, but is rather a cry to the abysmal depth of the innate soul.
