Canary Mine is best described as "folk-hop". Their original songs mix elements of rock, country, folk, hip-hop and jazz. They include a lot of three-part vocal harmony and often have a humorous angle. The band is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and consists of James Lanbro (aka Jimi Maze) on guitar & vocals, Carl Welch on drums & vocals, Mim Adams on keyboards & vocals and Joe Arnup on bass. Two of Canary Mine's songs, "Cool Breeze" and "Rock Song" were featured in the Allan Moyle directed film "Weirdsville" in 2007. The band has released six albums since forming in 2003, and will release their latest album, "Between a Rock and a Heartbreak" in April, 2012. Read more on Last.fm.
