Bryan Maclean

Bryan MacLean (born 1947 in Los Angeles, died December 25, 1998 in Los Angeles) was an American guitarist and songwriter, most known for his work with the influential rock band Love. MacLean was a roadie for The Byrds before he joined Love. Some of his famous compositons for Love include "Alone Again Or" and "Old Man". Arthur Lee is thought to be the main creative force in Love's music, but you can hear a great deal of Bryan MacLean's influence in many of Lee's songs, and in the band's arrangements. After leaving Love, McLean joined a Christian ministry. He released his unheard Love demos 'ifyoubelievein' in 1997 before he died of a heart attack on Christmas Day 1998 In 2001 'Candy's Waltz' a further album of demos was released. Read more on Last.fm.
