New York, USA If underground muzik & biotechnology could somehow be combined, Luis Novo would be the one to do it. Under his Bioground alias, he has been conquering the respect and admiration of the electronic music community worldwide with his records and dj'ing skills. His unique capability of blending and innovate has allowed Bioground to be one of the most versatile and acclaimed producers of the moment, earning outstanding support from top flights like Deep Dish, Danny Howells, Matthew Dekay, Eric Kupper or Sasha, amongst many others. Titles like "Affinity", "Cinnamon", "Get Busy Yo" or "Gawd" are a few numbers in the pile of tracks that have been off the charts and under heavy rotation, not only on clubs, but also on radios and commercials. Releasing for influential imprints such as DK, Hysteria or Plastic City, that he successfully helped relaunching with 2 superb eps and an album after 2 years of an apparent death, increased his reputation and spread the buzz around Bioground beyond borders. Countless appearances on compilations and remixes for acts like Kool & The Gang or Blaze are as well, priceless additions to his discography. Also an entrepreneur, he has created his own records labels, Vivid Trax and Exquisite Music, where he releases some of his finest songs and also delivers tasteful records from new and established names like Burnski, Subsky or Blaze. Musically, he is compelled by the early pioneers of electronica such as Tangerine Dream, Kraftwerk or Vangelis, 80's elektropop bands like Duran Duran, The Communards or OMD and early nineties projects from The KLF to CJ Bolland. This wide range of influences granted him the potential to either shape lounge, deep or progressive house, sweetened by an atmospherical elektroish sparkle. Bioground's ability on the decks resembles his production capacity. He may either be found spinning uplifting house to an enthusiastic crowd of thousands in major clubs and festivals, or enchanting a couple of hundreds with smooth electronic music in a small underground venue. He has shared innumerable international booths and stages with the likes of Faithless, Dennis Ferrer, Gus Gus, Xpress 2 or Thievery Corporation to name a few, and was invited by legendary Cafe Del Mar to be their resident dj, spending a full summer season mixturing his singular talent with the world's most famous sunsets. For all Bioground has accomplished so far, and is yet to achieve, he deserves to be considered one of the rising stars of the present international electronic music scene and, more importantly, your attention.
