Bill Morrison

Bill Morrison (Mattoon, IL, June 18, 1940) is an American rockabilly singer and guitarist. He attended school in Paxton, IL., and joined the Navy in 1958. He became a member of the Navy's prestigious Blue Jackets Choir while stationed at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. In 1960, while still serving in the Navy, Bill was contracted to record for TNT Records in San Antonio. After his discharge in 1961, Bill worked in law enforcement until 1967. After moving to Nashville,that same year Bill recorded on the Empire label. Bill was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 2003. Bill worked the road for years opening shows for Grand Ole Acts who didn't have their own band. He and Tex Ritter shared Tex's Bol Weevil's Band, the last years of Tex's life. Read more on Last.fm.
