Arthur Collins

Arthur Francis Collins (7 February 1864-3 August 1933) was a singer who recorded a significant amount of early records. His 1905 recording "The Preacher and the Bear" was the first record to sell two-million copies, and remained the biggest selling record until the dance bands of the '20s. After about 1905, his solo records were eclipsed by the duets he recorded with Byron Harlan, including the original hit version of "Alexander's Ragtime Band (Remastered)" in 1911.
