Aricia Mess brings us the sound of “Afro-Brazilian Soul” in her new E.P – Rio de Janeiro: Aricia Mess began her career in 1994 when Brazilian music critic Hugo Sukman wrote: “A voice that announces a new talent”. This was the time she began working with Pedro Luís, Suely Mesquita and Luís Capucho with the help of Carlos Trilha as producer. The sound of her E.P would be defined as Soul/Afro Brasileira always mixed with modern arrangements which proves she is a true “Bahia” (people from the north of Brazil) and in the words of “Jornal à Tarde da cidade de Salvador” (newspaper from the north of Brazil): Aricia’s music brings up to date the Afro-Brazilian rhythms given them form and content”. Her E.P comes with three remixes of "Preto Velho" by English DJ/Producers Loud Minority. Read more on Last.fm.
