Another Kind of Death

Spain's Another Kind Of Death was born in early 2000. However, it was not until 2001 when vocalist Mario joined the band, that they actually consolidated its sound and line-up. One year later, they produced and released Unfinished, a demo recording of the last composed songs from their current full-length release. Unfinished was highly acclaimed and received many favourable reviews by several publications, and it was chosen as one of the best demos of the month on UK magazine Terrorizer. The band has been hitting the stage pretty heavily since, playing from death metal festivals to hardcore / grindcore shows to industrial / electronic gigs. Playing at home and abroad, they have been able to share the stage with diverse bands such as Entombed, Catharsis, Forstella Ford, Morser, Moho, Submerge, Uziel, Moksha, Adrift and Dead For A Minute. Another Kind Of Death recorded their first full-length in 2003. However, this marked the beginning of a difficult time for the band which lasted almost two years. No Signal was almost an uncompleted project, when the bands money and courage were exhausted due to the many troubles encountered during their studio sessions. It was also a time when the band was constantly changing drummers and there wasn't any label that seemed to be completely committed in releasing their album. But in the end, Red Cobalt Industries and Conviction Records (renamed Deadwrong Records later) joined together to release No Signal in 2005. Shows started again, from which we must point out the Articulo 20's festival (where they share the stage with Entombed and Monochrome), the Mordor HC Fest (together with Moho, Adrift, The Eyes, 8th of September...), and the Up&Coming Fest were notable highlights. At the end of this summer, the band contacted Adrift's drummer, Jaime, who accepted to join. And, in early 2006, Another Kind Of Death signed with Underhill Records, which saw them soon after recording three new songs for Waterloo, a split album together with Moksha, Adrift and Moho. Another Kind Of Death are currently working on their next album, which should be ready for recording in spring of 2007. It will be released by Underhill Records.
