The Catalan Rumba group Ai Ai Ai is born in 1991 in Mataró (Barcelona). Members: Pep Lladó, Rafalito Salazar (musicians who played with Gato Pérez) and Sicus Carbonell record their first album together "Això Brama" (Ariola). The group is immediately recognized for the original lyrical content of their compositions highlighting a new spontaneous message to their audience. In 1993 the actor / singer Miquel Gorriz joins the band and Ai Ai Ai continue to make history on the Catalan Rumba scene for the next 10 years. Their unique Rumba style is created through fusion with other musical genres such as Pop and Funk. The following albums "Neguits, Angúnies i Forats" (Discmedi), "El temps de Sefaina Kaolin" (AZ) and "Esperit de vi" (AZ) offer a further confirmation of their unique adventurous spirit and comprehension of a fresh increasingly popular style of Rumba. Their extensive live concert tours embark their extensive journey of stage experience and music festivals from Catalonia to over 82 cities including the main European capitals. After 9 years of working together in the year 2000 the group part professionally in order to explore other musical horizons. In 2007 years later, Ai Ai Ai make a "come back", although in reality their "silence" has enabled them to return to the public eye with a new focus and growth.Presenting their hit compilation album whilst preparing their new "Maquinolandera Tour" together with the preparation of a brand new album; are just some of their exciting new objectives at this very moment. A new member, experienced musician David Torras now adds musical talent and contrast to the group. Ai Ai Ai return as always to bring the joviality of Rumba to the utmost limit, with their domestic "Ventilador" (fan cooler) and "Maquinolandera". Ai Ai Ai's rumba combines humour and personality with their music. Their official website: www.aiaiai.cat Read more on Last.fm.
