The Adiafa project was created by José Emídio and Paulo Colaço, in 1998. Its aim is to make known the songs do baixo alentejo. After several concerts, the band thought it was time to write the first work, which was introduced in the House of culture in Beja to 9 April of 2002. From the release of this cd (in particular the song Girls Da Ribeira do Sado) greatly increased the band's popularity. 3 This was followed by performances by Portugal, Switzerland and Canada. In 2003 were nominated for Golden Globes 2003 of SIC, for the categories of best group and best song of the year (Girls of the Ribeira do Sado).4 Won the prize of the magazine Music More Alentejo. In 2004 recorded the album 's Work Armedwith Rui Veloso, Paulo de Carvalho, Artur Fernandes (Hidden Dances), among others.
