www.addmoss.com ADD MOSS is a 5 piece alternative rock band from Martinez, CA (San Francisco suburb). It consists of Aussie Bridger (vocals and various instruments), Jon Lesher (lead guitar), Robert Cheifetz (saxophone), John Riggs (drums), and Ben Mishler (bass). Official Bio: ADD MOSS has existed in some shape or form since the year 2000. Originally the creation of Aussie Bridger & Joey the Coyote, the outfit made several eclectic recordings and performed a few shows. Together they released two albums, "Moonbeams For The Larger Lunacy" (featuring the song, "At The Beep" (winner of the KID ANTRIM Music Contest)) and "Orwell's Nightmare." Then, sadly, amidst demo recordings for a new set of songs, Joey the Coyote decided to move on and Aussie Bridger took ADD MOSS in a new direction and further from it's garage/experimental rock beginnings. Focusing more on vocals and songcraft, the third album, "Sacrifice Of The Opalescents" became a much more personal and somber record then previous efforts featuring several guest appearances (including the first appearance of John Riggs in the ADD MOSS ranks) and appeared more as a solo record for Aussie then a band endeavor. Several coffee house and solo street performances during this time were the breeding ground for the material to come. Returning from North Wales, Aussie reunited with Joey the Coyote and began work on ADD MOSS's fourth album, "Anima" Based on the romance of Tristan & Iseult, Jungian philosophy and deep personal reflection, the record begins organically, sampling Celtic stylings that wind their way back into Rock. It was during this time that Robert "The Chief" Cheifetz made his first appearance performing saxophone on the song, "The Jasper Ring." Promoting the record, the duo performed at a Martinez Art Show and enlisted the aid of a friend, Jon Lesher to play guitar . . . As new songs began to emerge, ADD MOSS became a three piece including the talents of Jon Lesher. Jon, a lead guitarist by day became an expert recording engineer by night. The trio laid down basics for 6 songs at the famous "Plant" in Sausalito and then self produced 17 more to comprise their fifth album, "Death Of The Exhibition." With a running time filling a full length CD, the record ranges through various styles, sonorously landing somewhere between Ween and The Beatles, "White Album" The trio performed one lone show together at Armando's in Martinez before calling in John Riggs and Robert "The Chief" Cheifetz to perform the duties of Drums and Saxophone, respectively. It was at this time that the band, known as ADD MOSS came to be.
