The main idea behind this “74 Miles Away” project is to put the Fender Rhodes – one of the most precious electric pianos of the last decades – in the spotlight. LuiGi together with his old time friend Pierre Anckaert (who already participated on several of his productions including the “Scrabble” makeover for Jazzy Sport) and partner in crime Eric P. came along the idea to record a split LP where everything was built up around Pierre’s own compositions. The A-side of the record contains four jazz tracks that were composed by Pierre Anckaert and performed by his electric trio. On the B-side, you’ll find the same four tracks, heavily reworked by MonkeyRobot (formerly known as Infinitskills) in collaboration with some of today’s infamous vocalists. Read more on Last.fm.
